CHENNAI: TASMAC liquor shops and bars in Chennai will remain closed on February 8 on account of the Vallalar Ninaivu Naal. In a press release here on Thursday, Chennai district collector R Seethalakshmi said all the TASMAC IMFL retail vending shops and attached bars, FL2 bars in clubs, FL3 bars in hotels and an FL3(A) licensed Tamil Nadu tourism hotel bar in the city will remain closed. There shall be no sale of liquor on that day. "If any violation of the provision is noticed, necessary action will be taken," the collector added.
